Xiao Zhi said, “There’s nothing we can do about it. After all, things have blown up this big, and the country—”

Zhou Yu cut him off, his face stern. “Old Xiao, I’ve made such a stir because I was doing their bidding. It was the outcome they wanted. And now they want to make me the scapegoat? I’m telling you, impossible.”

“I really look down on these so-called politicians. They let people push them around to their face, and still they smile and argue reason with them.”

“Reason, reason every day. Reason about what? What have they ever learned from it?”

“Why haven’t they learned the spirit and resolve of the founding leader? If you don’t bully me, we can live in peace. If you do, I’ll strike you no matter how far away you are.”

Xiao Zhi said awkwardly, “These are matters between one country and another. It’s not for us to handle. They have their own thoughts.”

Zhou Yu cursed, “Thoughts my ass. They don’t even know how to protect their own people.”

Xiao Zhi gave an awkward laugh and had nothing to say.

When they reached the villa gate, Zhou Yu said to Liu Long, “You find yourselves a place. Once everything’s settled, come to my place for a meeting. We’ll sort out everyone’s duties and positions.”

Frowning, Xiao Zhi asked, “You want to reshuffle everything?”

Zhou Yu replied, “What else? Look at the men under you. How many have actually seen battle? Not one bit of backbone among them. They’re not soldiers.”

“Don’t worry. Most of them won’t change. We’re just moving them into place.”

Xiao Zhi asked, “What exactly do you want to do?”

Zhou Yu gave a sly smile. “You’ll know when the time comes.”

With that, Zhou Yu walked to the villa and tried the door. It wouldn’t open.

He turned back and asked Xiao Zhi, “It’s locked? Give me the key.”

Xiao Zhi said, “There isn’t one. The key is with the commander.”

Zhou Yu asked, “Then where’s the commander?”

Xiao Zhi said, “He went back to his hometown to visit a grave.”

Zhou Yu was instantly frustrated. “You’re messing with me, aren’t you? Without a key, you expect me to kick the door in?”

Xiao Zhi said, “There’s a key inside. As for how you get in, that’s not my concern.”

Zhou Yu cursed, “Damn it, old man, you talk in half-finished breaths.”

Turning to the already walking away Leng Yuhang, he shouted, “Xiao Leng, come back. There’s no key, and the door won’t open. Come over here and open it for me.”

Leng Yuhang strolled back at an unhurried pace and said, “What’s the matter? Didn’t you look down on this sort of trick?”

Zhou Yu gave a shameless grin. “It’s because I’ve got you. Of course I look down on it. Even if I learned it, I’d still never be as good as you. No point embarrassing myself.”

Leng Yuhang sighed. “Ah, you brat. Just wait.”

He pulled a small box from his pocket, went to the door, fiddled with it for a moment, and the door opened.

Seeing that it was open, Zhou Yu smiled. “Thanks. If nothing comes up tonight, I’ll treat you all to dinner.”

Leng Yuhang gave him a sidelong glance. “You should take care of the immediate mess first.”

After saying that, Leng Yuhang left.

Zhou Yu paid him no mind and turned back to Xiao Zhi. “In an hour and a half, bring everyone of company commander rank and above. Oh, and call over all your instructors too.”

Having said that, Zhou Yu led the three beautiful women into the villa.

After watching Zhou Yu go inside, Xiao Zhi sighed and muttered under his breath, “Ah, Old Yan, looks like you were right. This boy has the makings of a commander, but his character still needs tempering.”

After muttering to himself, Xiao Zhi left as well.

He still had to go back and hold a short meeting with his men first.
