Chapter Ninety-Two: One Half Each

By the time Ato entered Demon One and made his way through the empty corridor, the passage he had walked countless times before felt strangely chill that day.

Ato unconsciously quickened his pace. The steady clatter of his footsteps rang through the hall, sounding somewhat hurried.

The corridor was still long. Halfway through, the footsteps suddenly stopped. The demon standing guard at the entrance leaned in to take a look.

He found that Lord Ato was already gone. A blast of cold air swept past him, and gooseflesh rose on his skin.

He quickly drew back his head, tightened his clothes, and resumed his posture.

In the dim corridor, from a small room came the sound of fists striking flesh, yet not a single cry of pain was heard.

Only the sound of silent hand-to-hand combat. It lasted for about half an hour before the room fell quiet again.

A battered demon, tall and broad-shouldered, limped out, leaning on the doorframe and spitting out a mouthful of blood.

Then he left in silence. Inside the room, fifteen demons lay strewn across the floor in disorder.

Each of their faces had been beaten beyond recognition; even their own mothers would hardly have known them. It was a sight of utter misery.

Morgana saw the battered demon enter the command room. Judging by his imposing build, she hesitated before calling out:

"A... Ato?"

"It’s me, my queen," Ato replied at once. His teeth still ached, but his voice remained brisk.

"What happened to you?" Morgana asked with obvious concern, unable to help feeling a little heartache for her most capable subordinate.

Being cared for by his queen like this made Ato overjoyed, though his expression did not change in the slightest.

He even straightened his slightly hunched back and said carelessly, "Nothing, my queen. I just sparred with a few brutes."

"Haha, Ato, you’re blushing."

At that moment Morgana suddenly pointed at his face and laughed.

"My queen, that’s from being hit," Ato said, bringing all his lifelong discipline to bear, his mind as calm as still water.

"In that case, fine. Go find Ah Qin and have her treat your injuries. As for me, I’m going to the Council of Power," Morgana said, seeing that teasing him was impossible and turning to business.

After Ato left, Morgana found Rose. The girl was reading a book. Walking up to her, Morgana touched her hair and said, "Rose, do you want to learn more with me? Learn about the universe? Learn about the gods?"

"What do you mean?" Rose asked in confusion, looking up at Morgana’s sudden visit.

"I’m convening a Council of Power to discuss who has the right to claim Earth," Morgana explained, resting her chin on her hand.

What she got in return was only Rose’s even more baffled stare, along with words that left her amused and exasperated at once.

"Is that really necessary? Shouldn’t Earth belong to us Earthlings? Why would we need a Council of Power?"

"No, no, Rose. Right now there’s nothing protecting Earth, so it does not truly belong to the people of Earth. Earthlings merely live upon it," Morgana said with some amusement and resignation.

"That was before. Now Earth has a god," Rose suddenly said in delight.

"Who? The force of the galaxy doesn’t count yet," Morgana said, frowning.

"Me. Space-Time Rose. I am a god," Rose replied with complete naturalness.

"Hahaha, Rose, you’re just too adorable. But you don’t understand anything. In a few days, when the Council of Power is held, you may attend as an observer," Morgana said with a laugh.

"Can I bring a few people?" Seeing Morgana’s undisguised smile, Rose also realized she was the ignorant one and asked if she could bring others to attend the council.

"No. I know who you want to bring, but they are not qualified," Morgana said, standing up.

On Earth, aboard Angel Seven.

The Tri-Armed Fleet had once again submitted a request for diplomatic talks. After some discussion, it was decided that Galaxy Force, Lian Feng, and Xin Xin would attend the meeting together.

After everyone boarded the angelic spacecraft, Xin Xin turned back and waved to Zhao Xin below, signaling for him not to worry.

Through the Great Worm Bridge, the craft arrived at the coordinates provided by the Tri-Armed Fleet. These beings, who usually did not need equipment, had actually constructed a special meeting place here.

It seemed the power Earth had displayed had made them deeply wary; otherwise, there would not have been a diplomatic meeting at all, only an outright landing war.

Following the Tri-Armed guide, the three entered a very grand domed building, where four Tri-Armed beings were already waiting, their bodies shrouded in black mist.

Seeing them arrive, one of the beings flew up to the trio, hummed twice, and returned to his original position.

Galaxy Force and Lian Feng looked to Xin Xin, because they knew only she could understand the Tri-Armed language.

As expected, Xin Xin translated without surprise:

"It says this is a conference hall built according to our requirements."

Galaxy Force, who stood at the front, gave a contemptuous snort. So this Tri-Armed civilization was nothing more than one that bullied the weak and feared the strong.

At first they had been terribly reluctant, and now they had built a conference hall to suit their side’s needs. Nothing more than that.

Putting that thought aside, Galaxy Force strode ahead to the seats prepared for the three of them and said, "They really do look like a bunch of loudspeakers."

"They probably aren’t in their highest form," Lian Feng said incisively.

After they were seated, Lian Feng took out a small block, unfolded it several times, and it became a black cube. It was a translator hastily made so Xin Xin would not have to keep translating.

As soon as it was set down, the device began to speak.

"Thank you, arrive, negotiation thus far, you are dangerous, here is Tri-Armed ma wu guang guang evolution body part."

Hearing this, Galaxy Force almost lost his temper, but Lian Feng stopped him.

In his heart, Galaxy Force muttered: What do they mean, we are dangerous? These smoked fish sure are arrogant.

And what is this supposed to mean, a part of their evolved form? Doesn’t look like it. The industrial vibe is still pretty strong.

After the Tri-Armed’s long speech, the three finally understood some things. This was not a diplomatic meeting at all, but a one-sided declaration of the Tri-Armed’s supposed settlement for the people of Earth.

Earthlings were to migrate to Mars within one hundred years, and because the Tri-Armed viewed the angels as extremely detestable, Earth was also to send troops to strike the angels. The Tri-Armed could provide command, or rather technology.

In the end, they even used the following line as a conclusion:

Spotted Blue, Galactic Empire, grace.

Galactic Empire? Where had they placed him, the future chief god of the galaxy, the force of the galaxy? And grace, what nonsense.

That was Galaxy Force’s true thought at this very moment.

As the head of the delegation, Lian Feng was the first to raise a question, asking whether the Tri-Armed possessed emotions at all. But the Tri-Armed refused to continue, citing Earthlings’ lack of understanding.

So, representing Earth, Galaxy Force put forward his own demand:

The Tri-Armed army must withdraw from Earth. No interference, no aggression, mutual progress, mutual prosperity.

But the Tri-Armed representative still would not accept it. So Galaxy Force had no choice but to reveal his hand, announcing Earth’s strength and stating that if negotiations failed, then they would destroy them.

Then he acted at once, directly disabling the four Tri-Armed beings.

Afterward he walked up to the one who had spoken, drew the King’s Sword, and chopped off a section of its tail, saying, "Yang Zi said black-smoked fish aren’t tasty. I didn’t believe him. I want to taste one. You wouldn’t mind, would you?"

Then he ignored the immobilized Tri-Armed and motioned for Xin Xin and Lian Feng to leave.

Just as the three were about to go, Xin Xin suddenly turned back and shouted:

"You, Spotted Blue Empire, advocate an evil order. One day, you will bow before Angel Yan and swear to accept justice’s continuance, or else the Heaven’s Blade will descend upon you!"

Galaxy Force also turned back and shouted:

"And the Mangdang Mountains will descend as well!"

"Hahahahaha, how interesting. I’ve already descended, hahaha. I’m here."

A shrill laugh rang out. While the three were still looking on, the voice fell silent, and a figure dropped straight onto the conference table.

As he landed, an inexplicable wave reverberated through the room, and Lian Feng, whose divine body was the weakest, immediately clutched her head in agony.

Xin Xin too was stunned speechless, because she knew this person: Hua Ye, the king of the ancient Heavenly Palace, the apocalyptic calamity described in the records.

The only one unaffected here was Galaxy Force. With a wave of his hand, an energy barrier rose, and Lian Feng was pulled out of her headache.

"Well now, force of the galaxy, you’re pretty capable. Want to work with me?" Hua Ye asked with interest after seeing his move.

"Not interested," Galaxy Force said, already intending to take the two of them back to Earth.

"Come on. With your potential, in the future of the known universe, the two of us could easily split it half and half. Still not interested?" Hua Ye spread his arms as if savoring a future he could already see, speaking slowly.

Galaxy Force looked at him again and said firmly, "Not interested. Farewell."

He had already placed Hua Ye on the same level as himself and shown him respect, yet this Galaxy Force still refused to give him face time after time. Hua Ye’s already foul temper began to flare, though he still did not wish to clash with Galaxy Force.

"Fine, fine. Force of the galaxy, you’re very good. You may leave, but that angel little sweetheart stays."

"You’re courting death!" Galaxy Force turned to stare blankly at Hua Ye, who had already taken his seat on the throne.

"Look!" Hua Ye lifted one hand slightly. The three Tri-Armed beings rose into the air at once. With his hand closing into a grasp, their bones creaked, and their bodies were crushed together into a single mass.

Seeing this, Galaxy Force’s pupils contracted. He immediately shielded Lian Feng and Xin Xin behind him.
