Chapter 2 The Gun Barrel Was Bent
“Let go of me!” The woman’s voice was cold, a warning.
“Let you go? Do you really think you’re in any position to say that to me now?” The man grinned wickedly, inhaling deeply the scent of her skin.
The gesture made the woman uneasy, her gaze growing even colder. “If you dare to touch me, believe me, I’ll cut off your manhood and feed it to the dogs!”
He burst out laughing. “Sleep with me once and you won’t want to leave. You’ll beg to stay under me like a bitch in heat.”
Suddenly, he ripped open her blouse, exposing a pair of snow-white curves barely contained by black lace.
The sight dazzled him, sending his blood surging and his mouth dry.
“Let go of me, Wang Ke, you beast!” she spat, kicking and struggling with all her strength, but he pinned her down relentlessly.
“Su Hanyan, you always act so aloof with me. Tonight, I’ll finally taste what you’re really like!” Wang Ke’s laugh was lewd as he leaned over her.
Su Hanyan turned her face away in humiliation, eyes tightly shut.
Knock, knock, knock.
Suddenly, urgent banging sounded from outside.
Wang Ke paused, annoyed, but ignored it and bent down again.
Su Hanyan cried out for help.
Knock! Knock! Knock! The pounding grew more insistent.
Wang Ke, unable to continue, got up to answer the door. “Who is it? Damn lunatic!”
He barely touched the handle when—boom!—a deafening crash shook the room.
The door was blown clean off its hinges, smashing onto him and flattening him beneath a cloud of dust.
Gu Xiangnan, upon hearing a woman’s cries inside, had kicked the door in without hesitation.
“Damn it, you dared lay hands on my senior sister—if the King of Heaven himself shows up, he couldn’t save you now!”
Gu Xiangnan and Wu Meiyu stormed in, trampling over Wang Ke as he lay sprawled beneath the door, each step making him twitch in agony.
Su Hanyan struggled to sit up.
She looked closely and immediately recognized Gu Xiangnan. First stunned, then a surge of wild joy bloomed across her face.
“Junior brother? You’ve come down the mountain?!”
But Gu Xiangnan, standing by the window, seemed oblivious, his gaze fixed on her.
Su Hanyan looked down in confusion, her eyes twitching in embarrassment.
Her ample assets were still fully exposed, barely concealed by the black lace, making her even more alluring.
She hastily covered herself, her face flushing crimson.
Seeing this, Wu Meiyu quickly took off her jacket and draped it over Su Hanyan.
The beautiful scene vanished, and Gu Xiangnan sighed inwardly at the loss, then gently asked, “Senior sister, are you alright?”
Su Hanyan, seeing her junior brother’s concern, felt her earlier embarrassment ease considerably and shook her head softly.
“I’m… I’m fine…”
“Good. By the way, where’s that bastard who was bullying you?” Gu Xiangnan asked her.
He’d burst in full of rage, but after searching the room, found no sign of a second person.
Su Hanyan opened her mouth to reply, but before she could, two of Wang Ke’s henchmen rushed in.
“Master Wang! Master Wang!”
Hearing their voices as he struggled to rise, Wang Ke felt darkness swarm his vision—two more blows landed.
Damn…
Under the door, Wang Ke groaned weakly, terrified of being stepped on again.
The two henchmen hurried to move the door aside and helped Wang Ke up.
One glared angrily at Gu Xiangnan. “Where the hell did you crawl out from, you idiot? How dare you touch Master Wang—are you looking to die?”
“Not only did you steal Master Wang’s woman, you even dared to lay hands on him? The Wang family is the top aristocratic house in Jiangning—if Master Wang so much as stomps his foot, the whole city trembles!”
“Kneel down and apologize to Master Wang, now!”
Hearing this, Su Hanyan’s brow tightened.
Though the Wang family was influential with extensive connections, Jiangning was a small pond; she had no reason to fear them. What truly troubled her was the Wang family’s close ties to Jiangning’s underground king, Boss Feng.
Boss Feng was ruthless and notorious. With him as their backing, the Wang family could run rampant in Jiangning.
Previously, the Wang family had set traps for Su Hanyan’s company, saddling it with massive debts. This time, they’d lured her here under the false pretense of signing a contract, intent on humiliating her.
That was the cause of tonight’s ordeal.
Just as the henchman finished speaking, Gu Xiangnan sneered coldly. “So what if I did? I can’t deal with scum who bully my senior sister?”
Wang Ke, barely steady, exploded at these words. “Damn you! If I don’t kill you tonight, I’m not Wang!”
He reached to his waistband, pulling out a black pistol and aiming it at Gu Xiangnan’s head.
“You little bastard, kneel!”
Gu Xiangnan acted as if he hadn’t heard, striding forward and slapping Wang Ke’s head hard.
“Kneel, my ass!”
Wang Ke was stunned.
What the hell?
How could this kid be so fierce? He didn’t even fear a gun?
Enraged, Wang Ke raised the firearm again. “You’re asking for—”
Slap!
“Asking for what, my ass!”
“I—”
Slap!
“I, your—”
“Damn—”
Slap!
“Damn you—pah, my ass!”
Each slap from Gu Xiangnan was brutal, leaving Wang Ke’s head buzzing and nearly concussed.
Wu Meiyu and the henchmen stood agape, watching.
What the hell?
So much for any code of conduct!
Gu Xiangnan finally landed a savage blow on Wang Ke’s scalp, snarling, “Now I’m giving you a chance—kneel and apologize to my senior sister, right now!”
“I’ll apologize to your ancestors!” Wang Ke roared, then pulled the trigger at Gu Xiangnan.
“No!” Su Hanyan screamed.
Bang!
But the expected cries of agony did not come.
Instead, the sound of blood dripping was unmistakable.
Wang Ke stared in confusion.
He looked down.
A moment later, a wail burst from his lips, and he collapsed, writhing in pain.
Everyone watched in shock.
The barrel of Wang Ke’s gun had been bent ninety degrees, sending the bullet straight into his upper thigh.
Gu Xiangnan stood unscathed, his palm now much larger than an ordinary man’s.
Su Hanyan was dumbfounded.
This…was that the Giant Yuan Palm?
“Damn it, it hurts—hurts like hell!” Wang Ke clutched his crotch, cursing in agony. “Kid, you’re finished! Your whole family is finished!”
“When my father gets here, you’re dead—dead meat!”
“Is your father so impressive?” Gu Xiangnan raised an eyebrow, pointing at the stunned henchman. “You, call his father right now. Tell him to get over here and apologize to my senior sister, immediately.”
By now, a crowd of residents had gathered at the door.
Someone couldn’t help but warn, “Young man, you’ve caused big trouble. That’s the head of the Wang family!”
“Yeah, last time someone challenged the Wangs, they were wiped out,” another chimed in.
Gu Xiangnan acted as if he hadn’t heard.
“Make the call.” He raised his hand, sending the henchman scrambling for his phone.
He put the call on speaker.
Gu Xiangnan spoke directly into the phone. “Head of the Wang family, right? Your son’s in my hands. I suggest you get here within ten minutes, or prepare to collect his corpse.”
Damn!
So arrogant?!
The henchmen were stunned.
Usually, only Master Wang had the guts to act so brazenly after beating someone up; never had they seen anyone even more audacious than him!
Wang Ke howled nearby, “Dad, hurry, come save me!”
Hearing his son’s screams, the man on the other end said nothing and hung up immediately.
Gu Xiangnan tossed the phone onto Wang Ke’s body.
Wang Ke, emboldened, raised his neck. “When my dad arrives, he’ll definitely kill you.”
“You don’t believe I’ll kill you first?” Gu Xiangnan threatened fiercely.
Su Hanyan said nervously, “Xiaonan, the Wang family’s influence in Jiangning isn’t so simple. We should—”
“It’s just the Wang family. Nothing to fear.” Gu Xiangnan interrupted her, reassuringly. “Don’t worry, senior sister. Dealing with the Wangs is as easy as squashing a cockroach.”
The henchman, holding Master Wang, mocked, “Kid, you’re done for. When the family head arrives, you won’t even know how you died!”
“Exactly!” Wang Ke, clutching his wound and gritting his teeth, glared coldly at Gu Xiangnan. “Now I’m giving you a chance. If you kneel and kowtow three times, maybe I’ll let you die with your body intact!”
Su Hanyan frowned, about to speak.
At that moment, a deep, commanding voice sounded from outside the door.
“I want to see who dared lay hands on my precious son!”
A procession entered,
Escorting an elderly man in a traditional Chinese jacket,
Striding in with imposing grandeur.
