Chapter 68: One Punch Man, Instant Kill!
“Damn it, she looks so innocent, but who would’ve thought she’s so wild.” Outside the door, Zhao Zhanpeng listened to the passionate sounds coming from within, his face contorted in fury as he dialed his phone again to urge his men.
Inside Ning Doudou’s bedroom, her cries had lasted a couple of minutes before she abruptly stopped, unwilling to continue. Seeing her fall silent, Chen Yufeng put on a stern face and said, “Keep going. Don’t stop, you can’t stop. At least keep it up for another hour. This is a matter of my dignity. There’s no room for negotiation.”
“You… you’re so shameless.” Ning Doudou seemed to recall something and was visibly displeased. Crying out was embarrassing, and the shaking bed was exhausting.
“If you stop so soon, that guy will think I’m impotent or something, laughing at me out there. Don’t you get it?” Chen Yufeng looked deadly serious.
Ning Doudou rolled her eyes, but for the sake of Chen Yufeng’s pride, she started up her cries once more.
“Mmm, be gentle, it hurts… Ah, you’re amazing…”
“Miss, I just asked you to make a few noises, there’s no need to get so into it. No wonder you’re a drama major,” Chen Yufeng teased, unable to resist as her performance was so convincing.
“Get lost… pervert.” Ning Doudou’s face was streaked with exasperation.
Bang bang bang—
Before long, they heard commotion outside, followed by loud banging on the door and Zhao Zhanpeng’s angry shouts: “You bumpkin, get your ass out here now!”
“We’re in trouble, Zhao Zhanpeng actually brought people with him.” Realizing the gravity of the situation, Ning Doudou’s heart jumped.
She immediately got up and peered through the peephole, confirming her fears—three or four burly, fierce-looking men were standing outside.
Zhao Zhanpeng yelled from outside, “Kid, weren’t you acting tough just now? If you’ve got guts, come out and show me what you’re made of!”
“Oh hell, they really came… I’m doomed, I’m done for, I’m dead.” Seeing the men outside, Chen Yufeng whined to Ning Doudou, his face drawn in misery: “Sis, you’ve really gotten me into trouble this time. This rich brat looks like he’s out for my blood. What do I do? Do I even dare to leave?”
“Who told you to play hero? Weren’t you acting all cocky just now? Lost your nerve already?” Ning Doudou regarded him with disdain.
Earlier, he’d acted so domineering, treating Zhao Zhanpeng as nothing, and she’d actually admired him for his manliness. Who would have thought he’d turn out to be so spineless?
“I was just talking tough. How was I supposed to know this rich kid would take it so far?”
“You… I despise you.”
Ning Doudou flashed two middle fingers at him, utterly disappointed.
After a moment’s thought, she sighed helplessly and offered, “Given the situation, how about this: you go out and let them rough you up a bit. I’ll plead on your behalf, they won’t cripple or kill you—at worst you’ll leave with a face like a pig’s. Just grit your teeth and endure it.”
“What? You’re really throwing me to the wolves?” Chen Yufeng pouted in aggrieved protest.
“What else can I do?”
“No, I absolutely refuse.”
Ning Doudou was thoroughly frustrated now. Zhao Zhanpeng’s men were keeping guard outside, clearly not willing to give up. Calling the police would probably do little—Zhao Zhanpeng had power and influence. And, since this timid guy had tried to help her escape, and the trouble had started because of her, she felt some responsibility. Letting this drag on was pointless.
After a brief pause, Ning Doudou forced a smile. “Forget it, this all started because of me. I’ll go out and be honest with him about our relationship, and agree to go on a date. That should spare you a beating.”
“Uh, that’s actually a good idea. I agree.” Chen Yufeng raised both hands in approval, feeling a growing fondness for the beautiful woman. She was sacrificing herself to save him—how touching.
Yet Ning Doudou now felt only a nameless disgust when she looked at him.
If he hadn’t acted the hero earlier, she wouldn’t have minded him. But in front of Zhao Zhanpeng, he had put on the act of saving the damsel in distress, making her think he was capable. Now, with three or four thugs outside, his true cowardly colors were revealed.
If you don’t have what it takes, why put on the hero act? If you’re so brave, go out there and beat them up now. If not for him, she wouldn’t have to go on a date with this rich brat.
With a helpless sigh, Ning Doudou called out through the security door, “Zhao Zhanpeng, I’ll go on a date with you. I’ll give you a chance to pursue me. Have your men leave and stop making trouble for this guy who was just pretending to be my boyfriend.”
Zhao Zhanpeng was delighted, though a bit suspicious. “I clearly heard you two in the bed just now. Are you trying to fool me?”
“Oh please, we were just making noise and shaking the bed on purpose. Nothing actually happened. I’m still pure,” Ning Doudou explained hastily.
“Ah? Oh, okay then. If that’s the case, I agree. Open the door. I knew it—how could a goddess like you end up with a bumpkin like him? I’m the smarter choice for you.” Hearing it was all an act, Zhao Zhanpeng was overjoyed. He knew there was no way a country bumpkin could win over a goddess like Ning Doudou.
Ding—
Just as Ning Doudou was about to unlock the door, Chen Yufeng received a text message from Yao Na, saying she had located Zhao Tianlong and telling him to come now with the money to exchange for information.
Overjoyed, Chen Yufeng opened the door before Ning Doudou could.
As he did so, he quickly spent four points in the Divine Market to activate the Tyrant’s Possession, instantly boosting his fighting power to an overwhelming level.
“Kid, today I—” Zhao Zhanpeng had barely opened his mouth when Chen Yufeng slapped him hard, twice, across the face. “Didn’t you hear me before? I told you to stop harassing my girlfriend, or I’ll beat you senseless.”
“You… you dare slap me?” Zhao Zhanpeng covered his burning cheek, scarcely able to believe this bumpkin had actually hit him.
Without needing his command, the four brawny men behind him charged forward, fists raised. But the outcome was far beyond what Zhao Zhanpeng expected.
To his utter shock, Chen Yufeng moved like an invincible warrior, dispatching the four burly bodyguards with a few casual kicks, sending them sprawling to the floor.
The four were completely powerless before him.
“No, this isn’t possible…”
“This kid can’t be more than twenty, how can he be so terrifyingly strong…” Zhao Zhanpeng was dumbfounded. The four black-clad men who had felt Chen Yufeng’s fearsome strength first-hand lay on the ground, thoroughly stunned, unable to believe they’d been taken out so easily.
“Die, kid!” One of the guards, refusing to admit defeat, got up and swung at Chen Yufeng.
With a single, casual punch, Chen Yufeng met his attack. A metallic clang resounded, followed by the sickening crack of breaking bones and a scream of pain.
“What… what power, what overwhelming strength…” The black-clad man clutched his injured fist, his face twisted in agony as he stared blankly at the young man before him.
They were no match—not even close.
After this brief exchange, the four bodyguards understood they had encountered a true master. Sensing his formidable power, they knew better than to try again.
Chen Yufeng didn’t bother with these small fry. He simply roared, “Get out!”
