Chapter 43: Pure and Ambiguous
"You little rascal, looks like you’re just begging for a beating..." No sooner had she finished speaking than the interrogation room door suddenly swung open. In walked a young police officer, a round-faced, short-haired woman holding a stack of documents.
Luo Fang’s eyes widened in shock at the tantalizing scene before her, leaving her utterly speechless. The usually icy and aloof beauty was straddling a young man in a most domineering manner. The buttons at her chest were undone, revealing a seductive purple lace bra. The young man beneath her was handcuffed and pinned down, a look of utter reluctance on his face. Clearly he was the passive party here, so all of this must mean...
Realizing what was happening, Luo Fang couldn’t help but exclaim, “Whoa! Captain Liu, I never expected this from you! So this is your thing? No wonder you sent Wang Tao away. I get it now. Sorry to interrupt—pretend I was never here! You two carry on.”
She closed the door with a mischievous chuckle and walked off.
“Xiao Fang, don’t you dare tell anyone—”
“Don’t worry, Captain Liu, your secret’s safe with me! Go ahead and have your fun!”
Luo Fang’s suggestive voice drifted through the door. Recalling what had just happened, Liu Tielin felt something was definitely amiss—all because she’d let her emotions get the best of her.
Just then, Chen Yufeng, looking ever the innocent, twisted the knife: “Officer Beauty, you make it sound like there really is something between us. That’s it—my reputation is ruined because of you!”
“In your dreams...”
On the verge of losing control, Liu Tielin lashed out with her fists, pounding away at him. But compared to Chen Yufeng, who had the strength of a raging titan, she was no match. Somehow, this little rascal had slipped out of the handcuffs and began to fight back.
With ease, Chen Yufeng flipped their positions, pinning her beneath him in a show of dominance. He was furious—how could a man like him allow himself to be straddled by a woman? The humiliation was unbearable.
Channeling the spirit of a conqueror, he forcefully pressed Liu Tielin under him. His hands wandered boldly over her long, shapely legs—legs that would make even professional models envious—relishing every touch. All the while, he shouted theatrically, “Help! The lady officer is assaulting me! Somebody, save me!”
The commotion inside the interrogation room was loud enough to be heard by the officers outside, but none of them gave it a second thought. They were all well accustomed to the violent ways of Officer Liu—another unlucky soul was getting roughed up. No one would risk their own peace of mind by barging in to interrupt her “work.”
As a result, Liu Tielin was at Chen Yufeng’s mercy for a good five or six minutes, his hands roaming all over her, thoroughly enjoying the sensation. During this time, any resistance Liu Tielin attempted was futile. The conqueror’s strength was overwhelming; she had no chance to fight back. Only when he saw that the icy beauty’s eyes were blazing with fury did he finally relent.
“You damned pervert! You filthy scoundrel! I’ll kill you—”
Freed at last, Liu Tielin quickly snatched up her pistol, immediately pulling the trigger in an attempt to gun down the rascal who had just assaulted her.
Tragically, the gun jammed at this crucial moment.
She couldn’t understand it—why did her gun jam both times she tried to shoot at this rascal?
Little did she know that ever since she had fallen atop Chen Yufeng, her buttons bursting open, the gun jamming—these were all the effects of Chen Yufeng redeeming the “Misfortune” and “Conqueror’s Possession” skills from his divine system.
Before she could try firing a second time, Chen Yufeng had already lost patience.
He swiftly disarmed her, pressing the gun to her head, his expression turning cold.
“Big-busted officer, you’d better behave yourself. Don’t think a little kindness means you’ve won me over. You think you’re that irresistible? You think I enjoyed touching you? That was just to teach you a lesson—so you won’t point a gun at my head again.”
“What... what do you want?” Liu Tielin realized things had gone terribly wrong. She had thought she had him under control, ready to teach him a lesson and lock him up for a good ten days or so to vent her anger. She never imagined things would escalate to this point.
“I want to make a deal with you. Let me go.”
“Impossible!” Liu Tielin refused flatly, fixing him with a cold stare. “I’d rather die with you than let you go. If you have the guts, shoot me now.”
“What is it with you women and your death wish?”
“Save your breath. You’d better surrender quietly. Otherwise, you’ll be riddled with bullets before long.”
“Oh, I get it—you want to die together with me, to become doomed lovers in the afterlife, is that it?”
“Pah! In your dreams! I’d rather hack you into a thousand pieces than be paired with you.”
“If you put it that way, things might get a lot more serious. Can’t we resolve this rationally?”
Chen Yufeng had played along long enough. It was time to get out of here. If push came to shove, he’d be forced to use his trump card.
Liu Tielin was remarkably composed, even with a gun pointed at her. She didn’t appear overly panicked, keeping her cool. Still, she could not accept the idea of dying alongside such a despicable rogue—it was simply too bitter a pill to swallow.
Earlier, she’d let her temper get the best of her. Forcing herself to calm down, she steadied her emotions, then looked at her adversary and, moderating her tone, said, “How about this: put the gun down, and we can talk things over.”
“Fine. Glad you’re finally being reasonable.”
Chen Yufeng wasn’t bothered; gun or no gun, dealing with her was child’s play.
Liu Tielin hadn’t expected him to be so agreeable. Was he truly naive or did he simply not take her seriously at all? She eyed his indifferent expression and continued, “Since you’re cooperating, this will be much easier. Let me return to my office and consult with my superiors. We need to review the surveillance footage to see if you were really kidnapped or what exactly happened. If it turns out you’re not at fault, I’ll release you immediately. How about that?”
“Agreed.” Chen Yufeng nodded but added, “But let me give you a friendly warning: don’t try to play any tricks. Otherwise, I can’t guarantee things won’t get out of hand.”
