At that thought, Su Ye suddenly felt energized.

“Eat your veggies, Gordon!”

Clearly, Flash Thompson’s infamous bullying scene was about to play out.

Su Ye didn’t really want to walk into a punch from Flash like Peter Parker did.

But considering this could be an opportunity to earn Gwen’s favor, and missing this classic scene might mean missing Gwen herself, he had no choice but to brace himself.

The outcome was much like the movie.

Flash bullied a classmate, then wanted Su Ye to take photos.

Of course, Su Ye stood his ground and refused. Flash immediately tried to hit him.

But Su Ye was prepared and kept a desk between them from the start.

As Flash attempted to attack, Su Ye simply circled the desk, turning it into a game of cat and mouse.

It proved that while Flash was strong, his brain wasn’t exactly his strong suit. That little desk really did stump him.

Half a minute later, Flash lost his temper and was about to flip the table—when Gwen appeared.

True to her reputation as a top student, Gwen dispatched Flash with a few sharp words, and even gave Su Ye a thumbs up.

“You’re great! Brave and agile—much better than those fools who charge in headfirst and end up testing Flash’s fists with their faces!”

“At least you won’t end up with a concussion.”

Su Ye shrugged. “With great power comes great responsibility. I know my own limits.”

They turned toward the classroom, and Gwen suddenly introduced herself.

“I’m Gwen. Gwen Stacy.”

Su Ye turned and smiled. “Ye. My name’s Su Ye—Yeah Su.”

“Nice to meet you, Yeah Su.”

Su Ye raised his eyebrows. This affection upgrade didn’t seem that hard after all.
