Volume One, Chapter Two: Stranded on a Deserted Island
The instinct to survive, even when wielded by a woman, can unleash a tremendous force. Yet it was this very instinct that forced Ye Feng to grit his teeth and endure. The woman’s physical strength was considerable; using his body for support, she quickly stood up. Her supple and graceful form pressed closely against him.
At that moment, no one’s clothes were dry. The damp fabric, combined with their close contact, dulled the sharp edge of the pain. But given the dire situation, Ye Feng only lingered in that strange sensation for a fleeting second before snapping back to reality.
The cruise ship was sinking rapidly, filling his heart with terror. He lowered his head and shouted to the woman, “Jump. There might still be a chance to survive. Waiting here is certain death.”
Just as he looked down, the woman, half a head shorter than him, revealed two snowy white mounds through her soaked clothing, perfectly framed from his angle. Ye Feng, who had never even kissed a woman before, felt a surge of exhilaration as if reaching a peak.
The woman nodded resolutely, a determined expression on her exquisite face, completely unaware of Ye Feng’s frozen gaze.
“But one thing I must make clear,” she said firmly. “We might still die if we jump. Think it through. I’ve decided to jump anyway, and if we die, don’t come looking for revenge in the Underworld.”
Ye Feng quickly averted his eyes and joked lightly, knowing full well this might be the last joke he ever told. “If we die, it’s fate. If not, we’re just lucky!”
With that, the woman leapt into the water without hesitation. Seeing this, Ye Feng wasted no time and followed suit.
As he hit the water, a suffocating danger surged over him. Without pause, he adjusted his posture and swam toward the surface. Suddenly, an unidentified projectile struck his calf, throwing him off balance. The merciless sea closed in to engulf him.
Though he was a decent swimmer, he found himself powerless now. Forced to swallow some seawater, despair weighed down on him as he shut his eyes. Perhaps this was fate. He had hoped for another chance, but the sudden strike from the ship had extinguished his last hope.
Yet just as he was about to sink beneath the waves, a slender hand grasped his arm and pulled him upward. Breaking the surface, he gasped for air, a sensation of rebirth flooding him.
“Hold on. Don’t give up!” the woman’s voice trembled with tears.
But Ye Feng’s mind was consumed by the frantic need to breathe.
Then, a deafening explosion roared. The sinking ship detonated violently once more, the resulting shockwave flinging them several meters away.
The suffocating force overwhelmed him completely, coupled with the sea’s relentless grip, and his brain couldn’t withstand the assault—he lost consciousness.
---
Time passed, though how long he did not know, until a cool splash of water brushed his face, stirring a faint awareness. His consciousness strengthened rapidly, and he snapped his eyes open.
Above him sprawled a vast blue sky, evoking an immediate sense of safety and warmth. Then, with a sudden realization, he turned his head to see an endless ocean on one side, and on the other, a stretch of sandy beach bordered by a comforting green forest.
He had landed safely. Though stranded on a deserted island, at least he was alive.
At that moment, he noticed a woman lying atop him—the same beautiful woman who had jumped with him. She was awake as well. Their eyes met, less than five centimeters apart, creating an unspoken connection.
Surviving such a calamity together kindles emotions, especially when sharing the ordeal of escape.
“We didn’t die. Thank goodness!” the woman exclaimed, immediately climbing off him.
Perhaps still dizzy from the impact of the seawater, as she sat up, her soft body collapsed back into his embrace.
In that instant, Ye Feng felt a profound warmth and comfort.
The woman said nothing and dared not meet his gaze. After a long moment, her cheeks flushed deeply as she pulled away.
Ye Feng said nothing either; instead, he sat up and studied her closely.
She was a beauty, easily scoring ninety points on any scale. Her flawless figure was remarkably full and genuine, not exaggerated in the slightest.
She wore a strappy swimsuit that was undeniably alluring.
Then she smiled warmly and introduced herself: “My name is Lin Yao. Thank you for saving me on the ship. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t be alive now.”
Her eyes gleamed with relief, fully aware that had she died then, it would have been a brutal end, not this miraculous survival.
And the one who had brought her this salvation was Ye Feng—her benefactor.
“I’m a man. I couldn’t just watch a beauty perish before me. I’m Ye Feng. It’s a pleasure to meet you. And thank you as well—for pulling me up when my leg was struck,” he said.
He remembered clearly how Lin Yao had dragged him from beneath the waves.
That she would risk herself to save him revealed her gratitude and loyalty.
Their survival was a testament to the bond formed by their shared fate.
After introductions, they smiled. To have helped each other survive such a disaster naturally forged a trust between them.
Just then, voices caught their attention.
Turning around, they saw others who had survived, already awake and scavenging supplies.
Though they had escaped the shipwreck, surviving on this island until rescue arrived meant securing water and food was crucial.
Despite his discomfort, Ye Feng gritted his teeth and stood. Lin Yao did the same. Together, they prepared to search for supplies.
Fortunately, his leg was only bruised, with no broken skin—no risk of infection, which on a deserted island could prove fatal.
Lin Yao followed closely. At this moment, they trusted only each other—a bond born from shared brushes with death.
Ye Feng was a school athlete, strong and well-conditioned, standing tall at 1.8 meters with a robust build—the very image of a prince to a young woman’s heart.
Unfortunately, his three years of devotion had been lost to financial hardships.
He shook his head, pushing those thoughts aside.
Time passed, and dusk deepened.
Along the shore, bodies floated ashore with the tide—grim, restless faces that sent shivers down their spines.
Yet to survive, they had to overcome their fears.
At that moment, Ye Feng overlooked a crucial fact.
Lin Yao’s beauty, combined with her striking figure and the revealing swimsuit, drew the attention of many male survivors nearby.
Numerous eyes were fixed on them.
Seeing this, Ye Feng immediately removed his clothes and motioned for Lin Yao to cover herself.
Grateful, she quickly slipped the garment on.
He then took a jacket from a deceased survivor and wore it himself.
There was no room for modesty now.
“Ye Feng, are you single?” Lin Yao suddenly asked.
