Lin Yusheng’s cheeks flushed deeply. “Senior Sister Chen, please don’t speak recklessly. This gentleman and I merely crossed paths by chance. If you must take me back, so be it, but I beg you to spare this gentleman and these mortals.”

Seeing Lin Yusheng still defending Liu Yiyun, Senior Sister Chen’s expression darkened. “Hmph! Don’t try to deny it. You are unworthy of being my junior sister. Even now, you protect this man. How could the Young Sect Leader be inferior to him? Soon, I will kill him and make you spend the rest of your life drowning in regret.”

“Um, may I interject? What exactly is your relationship?” Liu Yiyun scratched his backside, feeling as if he’d been bitten by insects while sleeping.

Lin Yusheng exhaled and let her hands drop weakly. Surrounded by so many, she had completely given up resisting.

“Since the gentleman wants to hear it, I shall tell you. It’s a long story...”

“Then make it brief.”

“Alright.” She glanced at Liu Yiyun before beginning.

“Three months ago, I set out with my attendants to visit Wanxing Sea for some leisure.”

“Along the way, I unexpectedly encountered the Young Sect Leader of the Hehuan Sect. Seeing my beauty, he killed all my attendants and knocked me unconscious, abducting me.”

“He wanted me to become his furnace vessel, but I swore never to comply. He could only imprison me in the Hehuan Sect’s dungeon, forcing me to submit.”

“Later, I devised a plan, pretending to agree to a dual union with him. Before the union, I used his name to acquire many sedatives. On the night of consummation, I secretly slipped the drugs into his wine.”

“When he passed out, I couldn’t bear for him to harm other women, so I castrated him, then began my life on the run.”

“Tonight, I happened to pass through Qingyun City. To evade the Hehuan Sect’s pursuit, I deliberately led my group to this remote stone mountain, but they still found me.”

“The people opposite are all inner disciples of the Hehuan Sect, with some history with me.”

After hearing Lin Yusheng’s explanation, Liu Yiyun’s lower body tightened, surprised by the ruthlessness of this beautiful woman.

He finally understood the situation.

Apparently, the Young Sect Leader of Hehuan Sect wanted to sleep with Lin Yusheng, but she tricked him and castrated him. Senior Sister Chen favored the Young Sect Leader, so she volunteered to lead people to capture Lin Yusheng.

Liu Yiyun recalled the Hehuan Sect—a prominent sect in the southern Qingzhou region, guarded by a Nascent Soul ancestor.

However, compared to his own Sky Sanctuary, the Hehuan Sect was far inferior. After all, the Sky Sanctuary was undisputedly the top power among the five provinces of the South Domain.

That explained why they wore such light clothing and no shoes—it must be the Hehuan Sect’s uniform.

Lin Yusheng had been fleeing all along and had no time to change her clothes.

Having finished their gossip, and upon learning both parties were human, Liu Yiyun instantly lost interest.

Where were the demons and monsters he had expected?

Frustrating!

He waved his hand. “Carry on, then. My mother is calling me home for dinner.”

With that, he headed outside the temple.

“Wait!” After a few steps, he was blocked by the Hehuan Sect disciples.

“Since you’ve come, why rush away so quickly?”

Liu Yiyun frowned. “What do you mean?”

Senior Sister Chen stepped forward, her slender fingers tracing across his chest. “In this desolate wilderness, now that you’ve encountered us sisters, you have only two paths: either fight us to the death, or fight us to the death.”

Liu Yiyun was stunned. “Isn’t that the same thing?”

“You’re too soft,” Senior Sister Chen said, moving behind him and squeezing his buttocks hard. Liu Yiyun shivered and hurried away with quick, small steps.

“Of course not. One is fighting with magic, the other with physical strength.”

“Let me think for a moment...” Liu Yiyun finally understood. These Hehuan Sect she-devils wanted his body—and if he refused, they’d kill him.

But Lin Yusheng said Senior Sister Chen liked the Young Sect Leader. Why was she drooling over him?

Looking them over carefully, their faces were pretty, their figures fine; physical combat might be acceptable.

His iron-like skin and body had been greatly enhanced, so facing dozens of them physically shouldn’t be a problem.

Still, among them might be plague mages, so caution was necessary.

“Do you have health certificates?”

Senior Sister Chen frowned, not understanding. “Health certificates?”

“You know, whether any of you have diseases?” Liu Yiyun whispered into her ear.

“You... you...” Senior Sister Chen was deeply insulted by his implication and immediately flared with rage.

She raised her hand, sending a powerful palm wind crashing toward Liu Yiyun.

Liu Yiyun reacted swiftly, dodging with a flash.

The palm wind missed, striking the ground and creating a moderately sized pit.

Puzzled, Liu Yiyun stepped behind Lin Yusheng, shielding her with his body. He poked his head out and asked, “I’m choosing to fight physically—why use magic?”

Senior Sister Chen’s ring glowed, and a jade-green longsword materialized in her hand.

“We sisters considering you lucky is your fortune. How dare you insult us? I will kill you!”

She raised the sword to strike. Liu Yiyun quickly intervened.

“Wait, wait! I have no intention of making enemies or fighting. Just let me leave, and we can consider our grievances settled.”

The Hehuan Sect disciples burst into laughter.

“First, I’ll kill you, then I’ll have some fun with that little slut Lin Yusheng.” With that, Senior Sister Chen led the charge toward Liu Yiyun.

Clenching his fists, Liu Yiyun thought, Damn, these Hehuan Sect people are relentless. Do they really think I’m easy to bully?

If not for fear that killing them would bring more officials, elders, and peak masters from the Hehuan Sect, he would have already gone on a rampage.

“Fine, since you won’t listen to reason, today I’ll give you a taste of hardness.” Liu Yiyun’s eyes widened, a gleam flashing within them. “Sharingan, activate!”

In an instant, Liu Yiyun and the Hehuan Sect disciples froze in place, motionless. Only Lin Yusheng and a few mortals exchanged bewildered glances.

“Miss, what’s going on? Why aren’t these immortals moving?” an elderly mortal asked.

Lin Yusheng shook her head. “The gentleman must have used a secret technique to hold them.”

“Miss, maybe we should take this chance to leave. If this gentleman isn’t a match, we’ll all die at the hands of these she-devils.” Another guard suggested.

Lin Yusheng parted her lips slightly, then closed them again.

After a long moment of thought, she finally said slowly, “You all leave. I will stay here.”

The Hehuan Sect brought this trouble upon her. If Liu Yiyun were harmed because of her, her heart would never be at peace.

At worst, death was but a single outcome.
