Volume One, Chapter 1: Use This to Test the Cadres
Liu Yiyun’s eyes widened, his face filled with disbelief.
At a glance, rows of dim prison cells stretched before him, the walls lit only by a few eerie greenish candles.
Occasionally, a few pale-faced young people passed by, their footsteps wavering like lost souls.
What was going on?
Did people really go to hell after death?
He had been riding his little electric scooter, delivering food, when he suddenly slammed on the brakes to avoid an old lady running a red light.
Unfortunately, he was going too fast and was thrown off.
By misfortune, he collided with a runaway heavy truck ahead.
Instantly, he was done for.
“Pain! Pain…”
Before he could closely examine this so-called “hell,” countless memories flooded his mind.
Tianxuan Continent, Southern Region…
Cangqiong Sanctuary, Demon Suppression Prison…
A lowly servant disciple, Liu Yiyun…
???
This wasn’t hell at all?
Good heavens, that truck had sent him hurtling through a different world!
But what was this weakness he felt, as if he’d just finished a grueling task?
After some thought, he realized the original body had been toiling in the Demon Suppression Prison of Cangqiong Sanctuary for five hard years. Due to his low cultivation and having absorbed too much demonic energy, his meridians were damaged, leading to a spiritual deviation. His lifespan was nearly at an end.
Wonderful.
After being a beast of burden for so long in his past life, he had transmigrated only to become one again—a born beast of burden.
Might as well just die and start over.
“Young master, could you please let me out?”
“Hmm? Who’s speaking?” Liu Yiyun snapped back to reality, looking toward the source of the voice.
In a cell behind him stood a stunningly beautiful young woman, wearing a sheer, translucent blouse, coquettishly playing with her hair and batting her eyelashes at him.
Her every movement seemed imbued with a strange magic, leaving Liu Yiyun’s mind blank.
He wanted to refuse, but for some reason, the words wouldn’t come out.
Looking at the alluring figure before him, as if she were ripe for the taking, if he had to describe her, she was like a perfectly ripe peach.
Liu Yiyun suddenly felt parched, swallowing hard. His face flushed deeply, as if he’d been drugged.
“I’m truly not a demon,” the young woman said softly, stroking her cheek. “The Cangqiong Sanctuary has made a mistake. Young master, could you please have mercy and let me out? If you do, I promise a generous reward~”
Her pitiful demeanor tugged at Liu Yiyun’s heart. He wanted to release her, but ultimately held back.
After all, in his previous life, he had been a single man for twenty years, with fingers faster than lightning. He had seen beauties from Asia, Africa, and Europe alike. Although this sheer-clad woman was far inferior, he had built a strong resistance to such temptresses.
He quickly regained his composure.
Those imprisoned in the Demon Suppression Prison of Cangqiong Sanctuary were all malevolent demons. This woman was undoubtedly a demon’s illusion.
A demon capable of assuming human form had to be at least at the Golden Core stage, far beyond the reach of a mere Qi Refining disciple like himself.
Many servant disciples had fallen for such enchantments before, opening the cell doors only to be killed after their meridians were destroyed by the demon’s magic.
They died gruesomely, foaming at the mouth!
As a transmigrator, Liu Yiyun refused to follow in their footsteps.
With this resolve, he suddenly slapped himself hard in the face, the flush on his cheeks fading immediately.
“Bold demon! You dare to show off your petty charms before me?”
The beautiful woman showed no anger at his scolding. Instead, she turned and twisted her waist, then faced him again, now transformed into a cold, stunning woman in white.
Wow! That’s quicker than a Beijing opera face change!
Her face was icy cold, skin as white as snow, looking down on him like a true Ice Queen.
She still wore a thin blouse, just like before.
The woman stretched out her long legs—longer than Liu Yiyun’s very life—and coldly ordered, “Heh heh, man, I command you to open this door at once!”
Liu Yiyun was stunned. Was she playing cosplay?
Her voice still carried the demon’s enchantment.
His face flushed again instantly. He resorted to his old trick, slapping himself once more: “Calm down, calm down, don’t fall for this demon’s spell.”
It seemed that slapping himself was the best way to resist the charm. Soon, he regained clarity.
Yet, one part of his body stubbornly refused to calm down.
He quickly turned away, no longer facing the woman. Only then did he notice that the servant disciple’s clothes were oddly tight and constricting.
Panting heavily, Liu Yiyun sat down and began chanting a calming mantra: “Namo Herodatna Doraye, Namo Aliye, Bolu Jiedi Shuobao…”
Seeing this didn’t work, the woman gritted her teeth: “Man, you dare disobey the commands of your queen? I will punish you severely!”
In an instant, a vivid image flashed through Liu Yiyun’s mind.
A tall, breathtaking woman in a sheer white blouse wielded a small whip, “smack smack” striking his body.
It was like watching a movie—so thrilling!
His heart raced wildly, saliva nearly dripping onto his legs.
He knew it was the demon’s enchantment, but a persistent voice in his mind kept repeating:
“Open the door, open the door…”
“Go inside, let her whip you a few times…”
After a few breaths of struggle, his eyes went blank, clearly having fallen victim to the woman’s seduction.
Quietly, he tiptoed toward the cell door, his only thought to open it and bend over for a whipping.
Fumbling in his pants, he finally found the key and was about to insert it when he suddenly snapped out of it, slapping himself hard again to suppress the charm.
Sweating profusely, Liu Yiyun breathed heavily: “Phew! Luckily, she’s not my type, or I really wouldn’t be able to resist.”
The woman’s expression twisted into a grimace but quickly returned to normal.
What did he mean by “not my type”? Damn it! How could a mere Qi Refining stage servant disciple be so hard to break?
No matter. Her enchantments were endlessly varied—men, women, old, young, beasts, swords, pills—there was always one that would suit him.
After all, there were precedents in the Demon Suppression Prison. Some servant disciples had strange tastes, favoring furnace talismans or colorful stones.
Recalling a “senior” who had once turned into a stone in the prison, the woman shivered inwardly.
She still believed Liu Yiyun was a normal person.
Then she transformed again, this time into a delicate little girl.
“Brother~ Brother~ Won’t you please let me out? Pretty please~ Mwah~” The little girl pouted, batting her eyes and acting cute toward Liu Yiyun.
“…”
Liu Yiyun ignored her completely; he had no interest in minors.
“Is this really the best you’ve got to test me?”
“At least try something more exciting!”
