You have a child?
Faced with Kisame’s straightforward demand for benefits, Tsunade’s brows furrowed slightly.
“What kind of reward?”
“Do you have any high-grade sedatives—preferably colorless and tasteless—something that could incapacitate an elite Jonin without them realizing it? Just one vial is enough.”
Kisame’s gaze burned as he looked at Tsunade, still thinking about the sedative she once used to knock out Jiraiya in the original story.
Tsunade snorted coldly at his request.
“I knew you had ulterior motives. I don’t have anything like that.”
As soon as she finished speaking, she flicked her golden ponytail, brushed past Kisame, and left behind only a faint feminine fragrance lingering in the air.
Kisame shook his head, entered the changing room to take off his suit, and prepared to head home for the day.
Passing by the production crew’s logistics area, he overheard two staff members chatting.
“That Kisame Hoshigaki isn’t here to act—he’s just here for the free meals. He alone eats eight people’s worth. He’s a bottomless pit!” one complained.
“Don’t prepare any lunch for him tomorrow. Young Master Fuji came for inspection this afternoon and instructed me personally. Let him starve!”
The other, apparently of higher status, spoke coldly.
This crew is really stingy.
Kisame felt a bit annoyed after hearing this. He only ate a little more than others—was it really that big a deal?
Never mind.
Starting tomorrow, he’d have Yuki prepare food at home and deliver it.
With that thought, Kisame returned to his seaside villa.
The next day.
After a night, Young Master Fuji seemed to have calmed down.
He harbored a dream of becoming a movie star, and for the sake of this grand ambition, he had to temporarily set aside his resentment toward Kisame Hoshigaki.
But once the film was done and that shark-man was no longer useful, it would be time for the millstone to discard the donkey.
Thinking this, Young Master Fuji passed Kisame with a cold smile.
The morning’s shoot went smoothly.
Soon, it was lunchtime.
A table was set up on the beach, laden with a luxurious hotel feast that made mouths water.
Young Master Fuji smiled politely, inviting Tsunade, Shizune, and Director Yamamoto to join him for lunch.
Tsunade glanced around the crowd and was surprised to see Kisame Hoshigaki sitting alone on a small stool in the corner, with nothing to eat.
“What’s going on?” she turned to ask the director.
“Maybe there weren’t enough lunch boxes today. It’s fine, he’s strong and healthy—missing a meal won’t hurt him.”
Young Master Fuji cast a mocking glance at Kisame and, with a gentlemanly gesture, pulled out the chair beside him for Tsunade.
Tsunade’s expression darkened, immediately realizing the reason.
“I’ll be back in a moment.”
She tossed out the words and strode toward Kisame.
“Is this about yesterday? Young Master Fuji won’t even let you have lunch. That’s a bit much,” Tsunade said, approaching Kisame with a hint of apology.
It was all because of her.
“No worries, someone’s bringing me food. She’s already here,” Kisame replied indifferently, waving toward the distance.
Oh?
Tsunade followed Kisame’s gesture and saw, indeed, a beautiful young woman with white hair hurrying toward the set, carrying a large wooden basket.
“Slow down, be careful not to trip,” Kisame stood up and went to meet Yuki.
“Kisame, you must be starving,” Yuki said apologetically, seeing the others eating. She had been busy in the kitchen since morning and, with a child to care for, arrived late.
“I’m not hungry. You’re the one who’s worked hard, making all these dishes. Have you eaten?” Kisame asked, taking the basket and showing concern.
“Yes, I have,” Yuki nodded quickly, but as soon as she finished, her stomach grumbled audibly.
She’d been too busy to eat.
“Let’s eat together,” Kisame smiled, lifted the wooden lid, and set out steaming food on the little table.
Among the dishes was a plump, succulent chicken and a bottle of fragrant rice wine.
Seeing this, Tsunade’s eyes lit up and she swallowed hard.
Rice wine and tender chicken—her favorite foods.
“Would you like to join us? Invite Shizune as well,” Kisame suddenly offered.
“Of course,” Tsunade was momentarily stunned but immediately agreed, beckoning Shizune over.
Compared to Young Master Fuji’s gourmet spread, she much preferred this humble feast—eating chicken and drinking wine heartily.
Thus, one man and three women sat on small stools around a modest table.
“By the way, who is she…?”
Tsunade looked curiously at Yuki.
“Let’s eat first, or the food will get cold,” Kisame opened the bottle, releasing a rich aroma.
“Then I won’t stand on ceremony,” Tsunade said no more, grabbed the rice wine and took a hearty swig, then tore off a chicken leg and began devouring it.
All semblance of ladylike manners vanished.
“Let’s dig in. Shizune, eat whatever you like—don’t be shy,” Kisame said, picking up a piece of chicken breast.
He’d deliberately had Yuki prepare rice wine and tender chicken to attract Tsunade, the big eater.
The reason he invited Tsunade and Shizune was that he’d already added a laxative to Young Master Fuji’s feast as revenge.
This wouldn’t escape Tsunade’s notice, so he needed her on his side.
On their side, the four enjoyed a cheerful meal.
Meanwhile, Young Master Fuji was dumbfounded—he hadn’t expected Tsunade to leave and not return.
And to his surprise, the woman bringing Kisame his meal was a stunning beauty with a voluptuous figure and delicate features.
Why did someone like Kisame Hoshigaki—what qualities did he have to attract two gorgeous women?
Had women begun to prefer muscular men, leaving pretty, fair-skinned gentlemen like himself out of favor?
At that moment, Young Master Fuji, usually so confident, began to doubt his own allure and could not accept it.
He ate in silence, his expression dark.
Twenty minutes later.
Yuki finished early, and once Kisame and the others wrapped up, she diligently cleaned up the bowls and utensils, the picture of a gentle, capable wife.
“Kisame, I’ll head back. The child’s alone at home and might be crying,” Yuki picked up her basket and said goodbye, worry evident on her face.
Child?
Tsunade, hearing this, spat out her wine with a splutter, choking.
“Lady Tsunade!” Shizune hurried over, patting Tsunade’s back.
“Cough, cough, cough.”
Tsunade coughed, eyes wide as she looked between Kisame and Yuki—
The more she observed, the more certain she became.
Those two definitely had something going on.
“You have a child together?” she asked, her expression exaggerated.
If she remembered right, Kisame Hoshigaki was only thirteen years old.
Ninja matured early, true—teenagers counted as adults, often marrying and having children young, then dying on the battlefield in their twenties. Such things were common.
But Kisame, both physically and mentally, was precocious to an extreme.
And he’d ended up with a woman clearly older than himself.
It truly was “a sight to behold.”
