That smile was warm and pure.
"Wuwei has set his sights on you. You'd better be careful." Kisame spoke these words with layered meaning, and before the guards could notice them, he slipped away from the fence.
Ye Cang stood there, startled and suspicious, turning Kisame's words over in her mind. She was gradually coming to realize that this prison might not be as simple as she had imagined...
Kisame's intentions were straightforward. The reason he gave Ye Cang this warning was in hopes that she would stir up some trouble and divert Wuwei's attention. Moreover, if an elite jonin like Ye Cang had her chakra drained by the Bliss Box, it would undoubtedly strengthen the box itself, making Kisame's plan to devour it all the more difficult. He did not want to see that happen.
Kisame made his way to the collapsed pile of stones. The members of the Wild Wolf Gang had already been carried off to the infirmary, thus fulfilling their wish of enjoying the cool air, albeit by other means. He did not find his protective charm at the scene—it had likely been stolen by prisoners from another gang. Anger simmered in his heart.
After the morning's work at the quarry, the inmates headed to the cafeteria and lined up for food. When it was Kisame's turn, the cafeteria matron scooped up a ladleful, shook it three times, and by the time it landed on his tray, only a few wilted leaves remained.
"Why so little?" Kisame frowned, feeling he was being singled out.
"If you don't like it, don't eat. There are people waiting behind you," the matron replied impatiently, urging Kisame to move along.
Swish.
Kisame suddenly reached out, grabbed the matron by the collar, and yanked her over with force.
"Let go!"
Several bald, burly men rushed up from behind, pressing down on Kisame's shoulders. He glanced back and saw a dozen bald heads, each tattooed with the same skull. They were from the Skull Gang.
"Hmph." Kisame snorted coldly, releasing his grip. No one noticed, however, as a small amount of white powder fell from his sleeve, dusting the tray of vegetables and mixing silently into the food.
Kisame sat down at a table. Before long, the Skull Gang members also arrived, trays piled high, and surrounded him. The contrast between their heaping plates and Kisame's meager rations was stark.
Expressionless, Kisame watched as they devoured their meals and suddenly asked, "Did you take my protective charm?"
In response—
*Burp~*
The Skull Gang's leader let out a satisfied belch, patted his ample belly, and slowly wiped the grease from his lips with a napkin. Now that he was full, he had the strength to beat someone up. Only then did he rise from his seat, grinning maliciously at Kisame. "Brothers, get him!"
But as soon as he finished speaking—
*Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle.*
The leader's stomach began to make odd noises. Not just his—soon, all the others clutched their stomachs in pain.
"This strong laxative really is effective," Kisame murmured to himself. To the others, his words struck like thunder.
"You—!"
The Skull Gang's leader realized he'd been tricked and flew into a rage, but the searing pain in his gut forced him to drop everything and make a beeline for the toilet.
Under the astonished gazes of the other inmates, the Skull Gang, clutching their bellies, rushed to the restroom, jostling for a spot—whoever was late would be left standing.
Kisame stood and left the cafeteria. But he didn't go far. Alone, he circled to the outer wall of the restroom, pressed his left hand to the ground, and activated the explosive release once again.
When relieving themselves, people are at their most relaxed, their guard at its lowest. At such a moment, if the toilet beneath them suddenly exploded, the result would be nothing short of catastrophic.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
A series of explosions sent toilets rocketing into the air, smashing against the ceiling. As for the Skull Gang, in the throes of diarrhea, their fate was all too easy to imagine.
The scene in the restroom could only be described as "too horrible to look at."
A while later, on the guards' orders, the battered and broken members of the Skull Gang were carried out one by one by other inmates and taken to the infirmary—joining the Wild Wolf Gang in their misery.
The Skull Gang had suffered not only physical injuries, but psychological wounds as well. After today, these bald-headed bullies were utterly finished socially, reduced to the laughingstock of the entire prison.
In half a day, both the Wild Wolf Gang and the Skull Gang had met their end, utterly wiped out. Though there was no evidence to prove Kisame was behind it, everyone could see he was involved.
Kisame had sent a clear message to all: to make an enemy of him was to pay a dreadful price.
Yet there were still those who refused to believe it.
By evening, recreation time had arrived. Over a thousand inmates gathered on the prison yard, free to move as they pleased.
Kisame was showering. Ever since his arrival, wherever he went, people inexplicably got hurt, earning him the nickname "Prison Calamity."
Especially after today's events.
The vast shower room was occupied by Kisame alone—no one else dared bathe with him.
Until a group of dark-skinned, muscle-bound men entered. They were the Bear Gang, a notorious group of Cloud ninja whose reputation for violence was unmatched in the prison; no one dared cross them.
At that moment, Kisame sat with his back to them, perched on a small stool, eyes closed, washing his hair.
A perfect opportunity.
Seeing this, the Bear Gang exchanged glances, then dispatched one of their own. Gripping a steel pipe, he crept toward Kisame.
Five meters. Three meters. One meter.
At last, the man stood behind Kisame, grinned silently, and with both hands, swung the steel pipe down hard at the back of Kisame's head.
For anyone else, this would have been a lethal ambush.
*Clang!*
A clear, ringing sound echoed through the showers. To his astonishment, the steel pipe in his hands bent ninety degrees. He never expected Kisame's head to be harder than steel.
Just then, Kisame turned, revealing two rows of razor-sharp teeth in a dazzling grin.
That smile was warm and innocent.
"Brothers, all together!"
Seeing their sneak attack fail, the Bear Gang rushed in, launching into a fierce brawl with Kisame.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The shower room resounded with the heavy thud of flesh meeting flesh, mingled with the deep grunts of men locked in combat.
Ten minutes later.
Boom!
The wall of the shower room facing the yard collapsed with a crash, and the Bear Gang members were thrown out like bags of garbage.
Wearing only a pair of shorts, Kisame strode out of the showers and onto the yard. He was covered in blood—some his own, some his enemies'—radiating a savage, murderous aura, like a tiger unleashed, ready for a bloody rampage.
At that moment, in Kisame's adrenal glands, the most powerful ability of the Twin Blades—Overpower—had been activated. Overpower hormones were flooding his body.
He craved battle.
On the yard, some inmates were kicking a soccer ball, some carrying boomboxes and listening to music, others doing push-ups, and some even hawking goods at makeshift stalls.
But now, over a thousand inmates stopped what they were doing and turned as one to Kisame.
They had yet to realize what was about to unfold.
