Chapter 128—I Hate You, I Love Him

Anlan was about to say something more but was stopped by Murang. The man signaled for her to stop speaking. "Lanlan, hold on, this girl really has been hypnotized. The memories in her mind are no longer what they used to be."
“Let go of my hand.”
The woman on the bed forcefully pulled her hand away, her face filled with disdain as she coldly addressed the handsome, noble-looking man by the bedside. “Who are you? I don’t know you. Big brother, why did you let a stranger into my room?”
There was disgust and dissatisfaction in Muran’s eyes. Somehow, the moment she opened her eyes and saw this man, a sharp pain struck her head.
It felt as if someone was pulling her nerves.
But after shaking off the man’s hand, her heart felt empty.
Her mind and heart seemed to belong to two different people, neither listening to the other.
“Ranran, don’t you recognize me?”
Gu Beicheng’s pupils trembled slightly as he glanced at the hand that had been shaken off by the woman.
“Why should I recognize you?”
Muran curled her lips into a cold sneer.
The few people at the bedside watched this scene and couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness for Gu Beicheng.
Why had Muran forgotten Gu Beicheng?
Could it really be Gu Yan’s doing?
“Xiao Ran, Beicheng is your boyfriend. Don’t joke around with everyone, okay?”
Anlan was impatient. Standing by the bed, she bent down and grabbed Muran’s hand, her face anxious and serious. “Xiao Ran, stop joking. Do you really not know Gu Beicheng?”
Anlan glanced sideways at Gu Beicheng, who was motionless and stiff, staring at Muran. A trace of bitterness crossed her heart.
It couldn’t be this dramatic, right?
These two had just confirmed their relationship the night before. How could she not recognize her boyfriend the next day?
Is hypnosis really that powerful?
“Gu Yan, that scoundrel! What exactly did he do to Muran?”
Why did Muran remember everyone else but forget Gu Beicheng?
Mu Jingcheng’s face was cold and expressionless as he walked over to Gu Beicheng’s side, whispering consolation. “Beicheng, this hypnosis is only temporary. Old Three, right? You know so many psychologists; there must be a way to fix this!”
Gu Beicheng faintly smiled, a hint of loneliness flashing in his eyes. He shook his head and stood up. “It’s alright. She is my Ranran. Since she forgot me, I’ll make her fall in love with me all over again.”
“I don’t love you, Gu Beicheng? So you’re Gu Beicheng after all.”
Muran threw off the blanket, got out of bed barefoot, and walked up to the man. Her cold and stunning face was filled with endless arrogance and disgust. “Where’s Gu Yan! Gu Yan is my boyfriend. I love him, and I hate you!”
The woman’s icy, indifferent words stabbed into Gu Beicheng’s heart like a sharp sword.
“Ranran, what did you say?”
The room suddenly chilled. Gu Beicheng’s aura radiated a deadly menace.
The man stepped forward, their bodies nearly touching.
“Ranran, say it again. Who do you love?”
Gu Beicheng gripped the woman’s shoulders tightly, as if about to crush them.
His ferocity enveloped everyone in the room.
It wasn’t frightening; it was filled with profound sorrow.
“Let go.”
Muran’s face remained cold. She was not afraid of the man before her.
She even wanted to get closer to him.
But whenever they made physical contact, her nerves stung sharply, though her heart felt deeply comforted.
“Beicheng, let go of Xiao Ran first.”
Mu Jingrong patted Gu Beicheng on the shoulder, surprised to find his body extremely cold.
Indeed, who could accept their lover suddenly not recognizing them after just confirming their relationship?
“Ranran…”
Gu Beicheng stubbornly believed this little woman was joking with him, but it seemed she truly had no memory of their past.

It could be said that Muran’s current memories were extremely chaotic.
Like a puzzle being pieced together anew.
“Gu Beicheng, I don’t want to see you. I want Gu Yan!”
Muran shook her shoulders twice, her face dark and her sharp eyes full of distance and irritation, without a trace of softness or love. “I want to see Gu Yan!”
Her presence was overwhelming, even more dominant and commanding than Gu Beicheng.
Gu Beicheng smiled faintly and raised his lowered arm, attempting to touch Muran’s delicate face, but she pushed him away with one hand. “Don’t touch me!”
“Fine, Ranran, you’re sick now. You have to behave and rest well.”
Muran raised her eyebrows. “Where’s Gu Yan?”
Gu Beicheng’s mouth drooped instantly. His gaze was like a blade as he glanced at her. “You can’t see him.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Gu Beicheng gave a subtle look to Lin Chong, who was sighing in the corner.
“Lin Chong, tell Shen Mubai, no mercy. Just leave a breath.”
Lin Chong had an unlit cigarette in his mouth. He stood up, rubbed his numb legs, nodded to Gu Beicheng, and prepared to leave.
Lin Chong dared not meet Muran’s eyes. He felt guilty for failing to protect her and let down Gu Beicheng.
Muran had really forgotten Gu Beicheng, even said she hated him.
Lin Chong sighed as he walked, determined to find Shen Mubai himself and watch them torture that scoundrel Gu Yan.
“Brother Lin, where are you going? Aren’t you my bodyguard? Why do you do whatever Gu Beicheng tells you?”
Muran’s voice was eerie, making Lin Chong’s scalp tingle as he froze at the doorway.
She still remembered he was her bodyguard?
Lin Chong turned around and instinctively glanced at Gu Beicheng, whose face was expressionless but whose aura was oppressive.
Then he nodded slightly to Muran, scratching his head with a wry smile. “Muran, so you haven’t forgotten me, huh? Haha, then…”
He pointed his index finger at Gu Beicheng, raising his eyebrows, asking if she had truly forgotten him.
Muran glanced at Gu Beicheng. “I haven’t forgotten Gu Beicheng. I hate Gu Beicheng.”
“Get on with your business. Stop poking at people’s hearts here!”
Anlan grabbed Lin Chong’s clothes and pulled him out of the room.
“Lin Chong, figure out what’s wrong with Muran!”
Anlan looked exhausted, staring at the wall seriously, gripping Lin Chong’s hand and forcing him to count with his fingers.
Lin Chong frowned, freeing his hand from hers. “I usually calculate in my head. Lanlan, you must have been pretty tired last night. Hey, what about Gu Xiao? No need for me to calculate his fate now; he handled it himself at the party last night!”
“Why is a grown man so gossipy?”
Anlan’s cheeks flushed quickly, carrying a shy charm she rarely showed.
Lin Chong observed the change in her demeanor — less fierce than before.
He would never tell Anlan that he had been next door last night, and even more shockingly, he used his X-ray vision to see...
“Stop fantasizing! Focus on Muran’s case.”
Lin Chong shook his head, sighed deeply, and his eyes dimmed. “It’s already set in stone; no one can change it. Muran like this means she truly has no feelings left for Gu Beicheng.”
Lin Chong guessed Muran must be very distressed.
This woman’s heart loved Gu Beicheng.
But her mind was hypnotized and controlled by Gu Yan, filled with hatred for Gu Beicheng.
A stark contradiction.
“What do we do now?”
Anlan worried that Gu Beicheng wouldn’t be able to bear it. That man cherished and loved Muran so deeply.
Lin Chong glanced at his phone, smiled broadly after seeing a friend request accepted, then looked up at Anlan and smiled unconsciously. “Don’t worry. Gu’s and Xiao Ran’s ending will be good. Good things take time. Let things be natural. Lovers will eventually come together. For now, help Gu to get Muran to love him again. Hypnosis is a fragile shackle, easy to break.”
Anlan half-believed him, glancing at the man’s phone. “Don’t lie to me.”
“Why would I? We’re on the same side. Enough talk—I’m off to deal with Gu Yan. Oh, and you and Gu Xiao? Not destined lovers. If it doesn’t work out, don’t force it.”
Lin Chong had done a fortune reading on Gu Xiao. That guy was a lovable troublemaker with Anlan.
But if Gu Xiao couldn’t hold onto Anlan, he’d end up lonely forever.
“Don’t bother me. I’m not forcing those things. But you—why did you add that flight attendant on WeChat? Interested?”

Lin Chong quickly put his phone in his pocket, his face flushing. “Why are you invading my privacy, you girl?”
Anlan raised an eyebrow, resting her small hand on her chin, squinting. “You’re a fortune teller, and you can like women?”
“What are you saying? What’s wrong with being a fortune teller? I like women, so what? I’m not a monk! I’ve met my destined woman! Forget it, a common girl like you wouldn’t understand.”
Embarrassed, Lin Chong stopped talking and turned to leave.
Scratching his head, he quickened his pace, muttering to himself that Anlan’s eyes were really sharp!
After getting off the plane, he had even turned back to shamelessly ask Cheng Tong for contact information.
He wasn’t going to wait for “if fate allows us to meet again”!
He would take the initiative to capture his true love’s heart.
Inside the room—
“Ranran, can you give me back the Muran you used to be?”
As Gu Beicheng’s words fell, the three Mu brothers were stunned.
Since when had Beicheng become so humble?
“Gu Beicheng, what are you saying?”
Muran’s face darkened, clearly displeased. What nonsense was this man spouting?
She was Muran, twenty-three years old, the fourth young lady of the Mu family.
“Ranran, Third Brother’s mind has been a bit disordered these past days. He’s forgotten some things. You tell him about yourself.”
Everyone was confused, unsure what Muran’s memory of herself was at this moment.
“Third Brother, why do you always play these games with me?”
Muran disdainfully glanced at Murang, annoyed, and pursed her lips. She walked over and sat on the sofa behind the three brothers. “Gu Beicheng, sit next to me.”
Everyone was stunned again. What was going on?
Was Muran playing some game again?
Didn’t she just hate Gu Beicheng?
The next moment, the three brothers saw a figure flash by.
Gu Beicheng obediently sat beside Muran like a loyal dog, though they still kept some distance.
“My name is Muran.”
Mu Jingcheng, the eldest of the Mu family, asked: “Which Mu?”
“Big brother, obviously the same Mu as you.”
Muran frowned. How was this group so strange since she woke up?
Murang nudged Mu Jingcheng’s shoulder and shook his head. “Sigh, it seems this girl has trapped herself in an ideal world. Just like she loves skiing—right after waking up, she thought about skiing. She longs for family, so she treats us as her biological brothers. The only thing she can’t control, and what Gu Yan changed, is her feelings for Gu Beicheng.”
“Whispering so much, do you even want to listen?”
Muran’s aura darkened, her voice tinged with anger. She glanced to the left and caught Gu Beicheng’s gaze. “What are you looking at?”
“Looking at you.”
Muran held back her blush, cleared her throat, and continued. “I’m a skier, twenty-three years old. My boyfriend is Gu Yan. My eldest brother Mu Jingcheng is a captain in the imperial army. My second brother Mu Jingrong is a top actor in the capital, a popular movie star. Third brother Murang is a genius doctor who became famous young. In short, I’m the darling of the family. That’s it.”
Muran’s temperament now was even colder and more flamboyant than before.
“Xiao Ran, you’re ill and have forgotten some things. You’re no longer a skier; you’ve honorably retired. Your current profession is an actor, president of SY Film Industry, and you also…”
Gu Beicheng gave a cold glance at Mu Jingrong, who had begun speaking but stopped.
“Ranran, want to go skiing? I’ll accompany you.”
Muran’s eyes lit up as she turned to look at Gu Beicheng. Her previous guarded, hateful attitude had softened considerably.
Seeing this subtle change in Muran’s attitude, the three Mu brothers felt relieved. They sincerely hoped their little sister and Gu Beicheng could have a smooth and happy future together.
“I want to go right now!”
Gu Beicheng was utterly doting. “Let’s go.”
