30. Luffy Goes Bald! Moo the Sea Cow!

Luffy drooled, staring longingly at the sumptuous food on the grill, his eyes wide as copper bells.
"Wow, that looks so delicious!"
The sky was vast and clear, the blue waves serene, and seagulls circled above the Going Merry. The seawater washed against the giant rocks of the deep. Schools of unknown fish swam leisurely by.
Suddenly!
A massive black figure opened its eyes. Despite the pitch-black depths of the sea, the creature’s eyes shone like lanterns! The surrounding schools of fish panicked, vanishing without a trace in the blink of an eye. As the black shadow moved, the boundless seawater churned in chaos. Even the surface of the sea began to heave with waves!
Not far from there stood a magnificent building—the very place that haunted Nami’s childhood nightmares: Arlong Park!
The gates, painted in red and yellow, were tightly shut. An octopus with eight arms was blowing hard at a barbecue grill, trying to stoke the flames. Above the grill sat a whole roasted suckling pig!
The octopus-man, with his eight arms, had a mouth shaped like a megaphone. He looked quite affable and honest, with several bunches of silver-gray hair. On top of his head was a five-pointed starfish shape, and the sun emblem of the Sun Pirates was located right in the center of his forehead.
Without a doubt, that was Hatchan the octopus, the one who had saved Silvers Rayleigh!
"This should be about right, right? Mohmoo, time to eat! Mohmoo, time to eat!"
After waiting for a full half-minute, Hatchan still received no response from Mohmoo.
"What in the world is going on? That guy is so strange. It should be starving at this time of day. Where on earth could it have gone?"
Near the Going Merry, the waves were rising and falling. The terrifying figure, resembling a manatee, was gradually closing in on the ship!
Luffy reached out and stuffed the egg-fried rice from the table, plate and all, into his mouth. Johnny, Zoro’s subordinate, held a plate of green-onion noodles and gave Sanji a thumbs-up.
"As expected of Boss Sanji, this craftsmanship is top-notch. The taste is truly first-class."
Sanji turned his head to glance at the Chu family of three, swirling his red wine in a tall glass, and smiled bitterly.
"I’d much rather be cooking for Miss Nami than for you lot."
Luffy finished the large bone-in meat in two bites, cleaning it thoroughly; he even crunched the bone itself, piece by piece.

It could be seen that Luffy had now become completely bald!
"Hey, Luffy, did you shave off your own hair?"
Chu Bawang felt a bit guilty and casually tossed a roasted leg from the table to Luffy.
Luffy looked at Chu Bawang with sincere eyes and laughed carelessly.
"Thanks for the barbecue, Ba-bawang. Hehe... anyway, my hair kept falling out, and it’s better to have a short pain than a long one. I just shaved it all off; now I don’t have to worry about hair loss anymore."
Chu Bawang stared at the sky, speechless: "..."
Luffy, I truly feel for you. To think that at such a young age, you’ve had to bear such an unbearable burden!
Johnny grabbed the last remaining piece of bone-in meat, and Luffy immediately grew anxious: "That bone meat is mine!"
Johnny said with dissatisfaction: "You just ate, didn't you? Let me have one for a change."
"But that’s mine!"
"It’s no big deal to let me have one."
"No way, that’s mine, give it back!"
"Can’t you just eat some bean sprouts?"
"No, that’s mine! My meat!"
The ship suddenly rocked violently. Sanji couldn't even manage to pour more wine into his glass.
"Hey! You two, stop shaking the ship!"
"You’re going to spill the precious wine!"
Chu Bawang frowned slightly; he sensed a violent vibration coming from beneath the sea.
Nami looked at Chu Bawang, puzzled: "Something seems wrong with the sea..."
Woo... woo... woo!
Eerie sounds began to emanate from beneath the surface. Kaya leaned against the railing, looking down with a confused expression: "It looks like something is directly beneath the Going Merry."
No sooner had she spoken than the clear, pristine seawater suddenly turned pitch black! It was as if ink had been poured into the ocean, staining the water black.
Chu Bawang pondered for a moment, then grinned.
"It seems an interesting fellow has arrived."
Moo!
Mohmoo!

Moo, moo, moo!
The inky seawater suddenly surged dozens of feet high, and the terrifying form of Mohmoo was revealed.
The Sea Cow, Mohmoo!
A sea cow from the Grand Line, brought to the East Blue by Arlong. It was a massive creature; how big was it? Let’s just say the entire Going Merry wasn't even one-tenth its size! Mohmoo’s head alone was more than three times the size of the Going Merry! Moreover, the destructive power of this monster was enough to easily raze an entire village!
However, Johnny’s eyes widened, and he blurted out in fear:
"Crap! It’s a sea beast!"
Luffy looked at the sea cow, Mohmoo, with a smile: "It’s beef! How huge!"
Sanji stared blankly at Mohmoo: "Is that really a cow? Regular cows can't swim! Maybe it’s a hippo?"
Johnny was horrified: "Why would such a thing exist in the East Blue? That’s a creature from the Grand Line!"
The Grand Line is a very special stretch of ocean in the world of pirates. The first half is known as Paradise, and the second half as the New World. The Grand Line’s geomagnetism, weather, currents, and airflow are all in chaos, making it difficult even to confirm one's location, let alone find islands. Past navigational techniques and experience are unreliable; only Log Poses and Eternal Poses can be trusted. It is the most magical and dangerous shipping route in the world!
For people from the Four Blues to enter the Grand Line, they must either cross the Calm Belt or pass through Reverse Mountain, which is also the starting point of the Grand Line. From Reverse Mountain, seven magnetic paths extend outward. At the start, one can choose any of them, but once a path is chosen based on the island’s magnetism, it cannot be changed; one must follow the route from island to island!
Eventually, these seven routes converge at the Sabaody Archipelago. Upon reaching the New World, one can choose a new path, and the final island reached is Laugh Tale, the end of the Grand Line.
The New World is a sea region ruled by the Four Emperors! After the screening process of the first half of the Grand Line, many pirates sailing there possess great strength. It is the most difficult and dangerous sea region; whoever defeats everyone in this New World can claim the title of Pirate King.
Everyone thought the sea cow, Mohmoo, would attack the Going Merry, but it stood motionless, staring at Luffy and the others.
Nami was filled with curiosity and asked Chu Bawang: "What exactly does this guy want?"
Looking at the sumptuous barbecue lunch in front of them, Chu Bawang replied: "It probably came for our food."
