Chapter Thirteen: Moving Belongings to the Liberal Arts Class
Jiang Wuyang smiled and patted Sang Wan’s head. “It’s fine, I can go by myself.”
Sang Wan looked worried. “Are you sure you can manage alone? I’ve heard that the students in the liberal arts A class aren’t very easy to get along with.”
Before Jiang Wuyang could respond, Sang Wan made up her mind.
“Wang Weimin, Li Chengsheng, come over and help. Let’s move Wuyang’s things into the liberal arts class.”
Wang Weimin and Li Chengsheng were the two who had joked earlier, and they were more than willing to help.
“All right!”
So the group carried an empty desk and marched grandly toward the liberal arts A class.
The liberal arts A class was on the fourth floor, while the science A class was on the first.
Their energetic ascent caught the attention of many students. Those standing in the corridor basking in the sun all turned their eyes on them, curious about where they were headed.
Their gaze followed until the group stopped at the door of the liberal arts A class.
Sang Wan led the way, politely knocking on the door.
All eyes were on her. After explaining their purpose, she waved without waiting for anyone’s consent inside.
Wang Weimin and Li Chengsheng understood immediately, carrying the empty desk inside and moving Jiang Wuyang’s original spot out.
When the desks had been swapped,
“Wait!!” the class monitor of the liberal arts A class finally reacted. “What exactly are you doing here?!”
Sang Wan looked at her in confusion.
“Didn’t I just say? Jiang Wuyang has transferred to our class. Naturally, her books should be moved here.”
This statement was like throwing a stone into still water, stirring an uproar.
“No way, so the rumors were true? Jiang Wuyang really transferred to the science class?”
“More than that, it’s the A class!”
“The science class monitor came over too. It can’t be fake.”
“Wow, what kind of talent does Jiang Wuyang have to make this happen?”
“But I heard the science A class is very united. If an outsider like Jiang Wuyang joins, I’m afraid…”
This person shook her head meaningfully as she spoke.
The liberal arts A class monitor, Xie Yi, frowned. “Wait a moment, we haven’t been notified about this.”
At least the monitor was reasonable.
Jiang Wuyang stepped forward patiently. “Teacher Lin will come to inform us shortly. Class is about to start, so I need to go first.”
“You probably don’t want to waste time here either, messing up the class schedules for both classes.”
The monitor adjusted her glasses, her expression clearly hesitant.
After some thought, she figured it wasn’t a big deal. One extra empty desk wouldn’t even necessarily be noticed by the teacher.
Just as she was about to agree, a sweet, affected voice piped up.
With a watery tone full of pretended sorrow, “Sister Wuyang, are you really going to the science class?”
“Congratulations, Sister Wuyang, but since you’re leaving, what about our liberal arts class?”
“When the teacher takes attendance later, if one person’s missing, won’t the monitor be held responsible?”
“The monitor treats everyone so well. Are you trying to get her into trouble?”
Ruan An’an’s voice was soft, but her tone was self-righteous, as if she was speaking for everyone’s good.
So what if she was being deliberate? She knew Jiang Wuyang had definitely succeeded in transferring to the science A class, but how could she let her do so smoothly?
She had to make things difficult!
After Ruan An’an’s words, the crowd around began to stir, eager for the drama.
“Exactly. If the teacher seriously investigates, Xie Yi is doomed.”
“Jiang Wuyang’s quite funny too, bringing some A class guys to pack up her stuff. Who knows if they really moved her to A class?”
Amid the crowd’s murmurs, Xie Yi’s wavering resolve hardened.
Ruan An’an was right; if something went wrong, she would be held responsible.
So, Xie Yi directly grabbed the desk.
“No one leaves before the teacher arrives!”
Jiang Wuyang couldn’t help but laugh in disbelief. How had she never realized before that Xie Yi was such a troublemaker?
Sang Wan was speechless for a moment, then gave Li Chengsheng a look, signaling him to find the liberal arts class teacher. Li Chengsheng quickly understood and loosened his grip on the desk he was carrying with Wang Weimin.
The weight shifted onto Xie Yi, who wasn’t very strong. In no time, the desk was safely lowered to the ground.
Many people quietly chuckled. A grown man couldn’t even lift a small desk.
Ruan An’an’s eyes flickered with scorn and contempt as she looked at Jiang Wuyang.
Jiang Wuyang, oh Jiang Wuyang, you can only blame Xie Yi for being such a coward, unable to tell right from wrong, shaking at the slightest word.
Sang Wan stepped forward to stand in front of Ruan An’an. Everyone knew Ruan An’an—she was the genius of their grade, having skipped two levels. Though she should have been in the third year of middle school, she was already sitting in a class for eleventh graders.
Sang Wan had once been very curious about her, hoping for a chance to compete.
But now, she was deeply disappointed.
Wasn’t she just a childish girl, immature in mind, obviously lacking sense, and no idea how she got admitted?
“Little sister, you shouldn’t say such things lightly. I’m the science A class monitor; everyone should know that. As the saying goes, you can run from the monk but not the temple. If you have any problems, why not come find me in the science class?”
Ruan An’an was startled by the sudden confrontation, not expecting the attention to shift to her. She instinctively took a few steps back.
Looking around as if bullied, tears welled in her eyes.
She looked at Jiang Wuyang with a wronged expression. “Sister Wuyang, are you just going to let her say such things about me?”
Jiang Wuyang had no intention of speaking at first. Ever since her first death, her temper had become unusually fiery.
She was the type who, if a woman slapped her, a man would unleash the full force of a martial art.
Yet now Ruan An’an had come up to her on her own.
“What did she say to you?”
Jiang Wuyang crossed her arms, leaning against the corridor railing.
Her blue-and-white school uniform was bathed in a layer of white sunlight. Her high ponytail was neatly tied, making her both handsome and beautiful.
“She didn’t insult or hit you; she just stated a fact. Why are you so upset?”
Jiang Wuyang spoke gracefully, without hesitation, looking directly at Ruan An’an, who was momentarily at a loss.
With Jiang Wuyang’s personality, shouldn’t she now be looking anxiously at Sang Wan, then apologizing to her?
How come...
Before Ruan An’an could figure it out, a familiar figure caught her eye, walking this way.
Without time to think further, Ruan An’an immediately lowered her head and took a step back.
Her voice was low and filled with grievance. “I’m sorry, Sister Wuyang. I was wrong. Sister Sang Wan didn’t say anything about me, and I’m not really wronged. I shouldn’t have said those things, nor should I have stopped you from moving your things.”
Jiang Wuyang: ? What kind of scheme is this conniving green tea playing now?
Not only Jiang Wuyang, but everyone present was stunned.
Though Ruan An’an’s persona had always been delicate and tender, something about her felt off.
“Jiang Wuyang, what are you up to again?” The newcomer approached Ruan An’an and, adopting a fiercely protective stance, shielded her behind himself.
