Chapter 84: Trying the "Golden Finger" with Seiryo Yukino
“All right, that’s enough. Conversation ends here. I don’t want things to get ugly. As long as you behave, everything’s negotiable.” Haruhi Harano shrugged, waving the phone in his hand.
Yukino Seiryo glanced again at the photo on that phone, then forced herself to remain calm. Her porcelain-doll face curled into a contemptuous smile.
“Really, Harano, you’ve watched too much anime. Do you think you can threaten me with some poorly edited pictures? How laughable.”
After her initial shock and confusion, Yukino gradually regained her composure.
“Do you really think you can walk out of this teahouse?”
As she spoke, she pressed a button on her phone. The moment the dial tone sounded, the heavy redwood door swung open with a bang.
Seven or eight men in suits stormed in, exuding a menacing aura. They were clearly professionals, even leaving two stationed: one at the redwood door, one by the lakeside.
Their practiced formation instantly surrounded the area, cutting off any possibility of Haruhi’s escape.
Lady Shizuka strode into the small courtyard in black high heels, coming from the stone bridge, and stood beside Yukino Seiryo, her gaze cold and awaiting orders.
She had long harbored a dislike for Haruhi Harano, who she saw as a handsome slacker aiming to marry into the Seiryo family for an easy life.
Yes, Shizuka thoroughly despised people who sought shortcuts instead of working hard—such behavior was, to her, utterly contemptible.
Yukino crossed her arms and stood facing him, silver hair fluttering gently. Her plain white kimono clung to her figure, imbuing her with a simple, classic beauty. Her flawless, exquisite face was ice-cold, eyes arch with mockery.
“Show me—how exactly do you plan to leave the teahouse?”
As her words faded, two of the men in the gazebo took a step forward. One was the same man who’d approached Haruhi earlier. Though his expression was blank, a trace of scorn was unmistakable.
A green kid like this—against all of them? Even just one of them would be more than enough. What could he possibly do?
But to their surprise, Haruhi betrayed not the slightest hint of panic, a faint smile lingering on his lips.
“Bring me his phone,” Yukino ordered coldly, her tone like frost, her autumn eyes glinting with an icy edge at Haruhi’s indifference.
The leader, the same man Haruhi had seen at the school gates, flexed his wrist, bones cracking as he advanced step by step.
His sneer could no longer be masked. In his eyes, Haruhi was nothing more than meat on the chopping board.
Seeing a familiar face approach, Haruhi’s heart skipped a beat.
Hold on, buddy, you’re really this bold? Don’t you know I’m a cheat character? How do you plan to fight me?
[Activate: Titan Power Pill]
[Stamina: 70 → 140]
In an instant, Haruhi felt vitality surge through him. Though outwardly unchanged, his body brimmed with inexhaustible strength.
It was the first time he’d used the Titan Power Pill for something so trivial, and it pained him—these weren’t easy to come by. He had planned to save them for conquering bigger challenges, not wasting them on a fistfight.
True, it wasn’t his first time using it in a fight, but this time, his opponent was a muscle-bound giant in a suit!
“I’m warning you—don’t push your luck. I can’t guarantee I’ll hold back,” Haruhi declared, raising his fist in a textbook fighter’s stance.
Had the black-suited bodyguards not been so well trained, they might have burst out laughing.
What a joke—each of them was a champion fighter. And a high schooler dares to talk big here?
Even Shizuka couldn’t resist speaking up.
“Hey—”
Only Yukino frowned. Why was Haruhi so unafraid? Had he lost his mind from fright?
And those photos—what was their story? Why did she have no memory of lying across the table just now?
But she had no room to retreat. Whether the photos were real or fake, they must never be leaked. She would not allow it—not under any circumstances.
Her gaze hardened, determination etched into her delicate features.
“Get me his phone!”
At the command, the burly man stepped up to Haruhi.
“Kid, I’ll go easy on you,” he sneered, curling his lips into a cruel smile. He balled his right hand into a fist and swung at Haruhi.
A little “scuffle” while retrieving the phone was only to be expected.
But Haruhi, too, wore a cruel smile.
Yes, all perfectly normal. He dodged the deadly punch with a swift tilt of his head, then countered with a blow of his own.
The man’s face morphed from scorn to shock, then to pain and disbelief, his expression transforming in a matter of seconds.
Before everyone’s stunned eyes, the suit-clad giant flew out in a C-curve, splashing into the lake. The spray wetted Yukino’s silver hair, her locks plastered to her forehead, while her wide eyes brimmed with disbelief.
The entire scene froze. No one dared even breathe, all rooted to the spot in silent shock.
They all worked for the Seiryo family, and they’d sparred in private countless times—everyone knew each other’s strength. But this—one punch? Sent flying?
Haruhi remained in his striking pose, like some showy adolescent.
“I told you, one punch from me and you could die.”
Withdrawing his fist, Haruhi clasped his hands behind his back, affecting the air of a master.
“Get him!” Yukino snapped.
Yukino was the first to recover, her doll-like face flushed with anger. If not for her current predicament, she would have been quite adorable.
Though shocked, even fearful, she charged forward without hesitation.
One, two, three, four...
With a series of splashes, each black-suited man was knocked into the lake, the water spraying so high it reached the pavilion. Shizuka protectively shielded Yukino from the spray with her own body.
Her black jacket and white shirt clung to her, the wet fabric outlining her slender figure—especially the pale pink garment beneath, now all too visible.
Yukino stood her ground, expressionless, staring straight ahead.
The pavilion was narrow—so narrow the guards could only approach one at a time, allowing Haruhi to dispatch them into the lake one by one.
At last, only two bodyguards remained. Yukino could feel the faint tremor of fear emanating from them.
Haruhi nonchalantly dusted off his hands, smiling as he approached.
“Haruhi Harano, I warn you—this is the second daughter of the Seiryo family. Do you have a death wish?” Shizuka tried to intimidate him with the Seiryo name.
But her words fell on deaf ears.
After Haruhi effortlessly dealt with the last two guards, he grinned at the two beauties—one tall, one petite.
“Miss, didn’t you say those photos were fake? How about I let you take a few yourself, right here and now?”
“Don’t you dare!” Yukino flushed at the thought of those pictures, glaring at him with fury.
“Why not? It wouldn’t be the first time,” Haruhi replied with a careless shrug.
Shizuka was thoroughly bewildered.
What photos?
What are you people talking about?
She had no time to ponder further, for in the next moment, both she and Yukino found themselves hoisted over Haruhi’s shoulders.
On the other side, the young lady was shouting curses, her expression twisted with rage and venom.
But it was all in vain...
Wait—why am I being carried off too?!
Haruhi, meanwhile, had other plans. Now that his “golden finger” had leveled up, he could test it with Yukino in the restroom—and even add Shizuka into the mix.
Thank you all for your support.
